CURTIS VAUGHN

Curtis Vaughn founded 159 Design based on 20 years’ experience in architectural design. His knowledge of and passion for buildings is firmly rooted in his past.

Curtis spent his childhood helping his father—a contractor who built dozens of custom homes and multi-family residences—and his two brothers build, renovate, and maintain these properties. He named his company 159 Design after the street address of his childhood home, paying homage to the passion for design and appreciation for quality and craftsmanship that was instilled in him by his father.

Prior to founding 159 Design he worked for multiple high-end firms in Aspen and Denver, CO and has worked on a diverse portfolio of luxury residences, mixed use developments, and hospitality projects. Notable projects include the Timbers Hokuala Kaua’i Resort and Residences, the Sunset Ridge residence in Telluride, TwentyOne01 luxury apartments in Denver.

What sets Curtis apart is his dedication to his clients and attention to detail in achieving their goals with an unparalleled level of quality and livability.

He is proud to continue growing a firm rooted in common values, a commitment to client satisfaction, collaboration with diverse partners, and an ability to leverage proprietary processes and state-of-the-art tools and technologies to communicate design direction and vision to clients to facilitate real-time decision making.

He holds a Bachelors of Arts in Environmental Design from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
